Mid-term elections are just around the corner and the SNMA Health Policy and Legislative Affairs (HPLA) Committee is urging members to get involved in voter registration. Our Each One, Reach One Campaign, does just that, as a part of Rock the Vote, which has registered millions of new voters since 1990.
The 12,000 Americans who reach age 18 each day in the U.S. are poised to make a significant impact at the polls, but they must be registered to vote. Once you register to vote and/or update your voter registration information with your state elections board, the HPLA Committee asks that you reach out and register at least one other person to vote in the upcoming election.
The Each One, Reach One campaign will run through Election Day on November 4, 2014. So, there’s still time for your chapter to register voters. Partner with local media, community organizations and student groups in your area and take advantage of social media.
Each passing day represents an opportunity to get involved. So, take advantage of the HPLA Committee online resource package that contains a wealth of resources to get your chapter started or click here to check out this online registration tool. It’s time for Each One of us to Reach One to Rock the Vote!
Look for upcoming “Grand Rounds” with more information about member benefits, AMEC 2015 in New Orleans, other SNMA programs and much more. If you have an idea for “Grand Rounds,” email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
